Grant Writing and Administration

Plumas Corporation, as a non-profit organization, has secured grant funding for projects and programs from a wide variety of sources.  Federal, state, local, and private foundation grants have successfully funded restoration project planning, design, implementation, and monitoring, as well as, watershed education and outreach for over twenty years.  Plumas Corporation staff has extensive experience in writing grants for watershed restoration and education.  We administer an average of $1,000,000 a year in grant award contracts for watershed restoration.  As the fiduciary agent for Plumas County Fire Safe Council, we manage another $500,000 annually in grant contracts for fuel reduction projects.  Effective grant administration involves maintaining accurate and auditable files, reporting, and project budget management.  Plumas Corporation has successfully undergone both federal and state audits of awarded grant contracts.

We offer grant writing services to other organizations that align with our mission. Please contact Gia Martynn for more information on these services at gia@plumascorporation.org or (530) 283-3739.
