Programs

Plumas Corporation operates a watershed-wide monitoring program in the Upper Feather River Watershed, and a Sierra-wide meadow hydrology monitoring program.  In 2020, Plumas Corporation launched a landscape-scale forest restoration effort in the Eastern Sierras.  We also serve as an implementing partner and/or fiscal agent for the Plumas County Fire Safe Council and for Plumas Unified School District's Plumas to Pacific watershed education course.  

Feather River Watershed Monitoring

Sierra Hydrology Monitoring Program

The Sierra Meadows Hydrology Monitoring (SMHM) Project is a Sierra-wide scientific monitoring project collaboratively operated by Plumas Corporation. The project establishes pre and post restoration hydraulic function data for a suite of Sierra meadows. ​

The Eastern Sierra Climate & Communities Resilience Project (ESCCRP) is a 55,000 acre watershed-scale forest restoration effort that Plumas Corporation has partnered with the Inyo National Forest (INF) and other stakeholders to plan.  ​

Watershed Education

Plumas Corporation applies for and administers grant funds for "Plumas to the Pacific", a four day watershed education course. Plumas Corporation can also provide educational tours and trainings.
